It’s Mango season! Who doesn’t love this sweet exotic fruit? Mango Shrikhand is a creamy, exotic and refreshing yoghurt based Indian sweet dish. We garnished it with cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, saffron, chopped nuts and more juicy mangoes!
Whisk the greek yoghurt in a bowl.
Chop the mangoes into small pieces and add this into the yoghurt. In order to obtain all the mango juice into the shrikhand, add the pit of the mango into a bowl of milk and squeeze out the remaining juice with your hands. Add this milk and mango mixture into the yoghurt mixture.
Then add the sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and saffron strands and mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the mango shrikhand in serving bowls and garnish with chopped pistachios, almonds, cashews and small chunks of mangoes. Chill the serving bowls in the refrigerator before serving.
