Incredibly soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies! This recipe can be made during a lunch break, in only 30 minutes! You can add big chunks of chocolate just before the cookies are put into the oven for that extra chocolatey flavour and we can guarantee you will have chocolate in every bite.
Preheat oven to 180C for at least 10 minutes. Line a tray with baking paper.
Take all purpose flour, salt, baking soda and sieve this into in a bowl and set aside.
Beat the butter in another bowl using a hand whisk until it becomes smooth. Then add both the sugars and whisk until the sugar and butter are both incorporated together.
Add vanilla extract and milk and whisk again.
Add the dry ingredients into this mixture and whisk until all ingredients are combined. Then fold in the chocolate chips. Knead the dough with your hands so that all the ingredients are mixed well.
Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes so the dough is not sticky when making the balls. Once refrigerated, make dough balls and place on the baking paper two inches apart from each other. Slightly flatten the top using your fingers and then add extra chocolate chips on top of the cookies before you bake.
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let the cookies cool for 10 minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack.
