Crumble Oreos until you have fine crumbs. Place this into a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and mix until combined.
Add the Oreo mixture onto 9-inch springform pan and press down firmly to create an even layer. Refrigerate whilst making the cheesecake filling.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and then add in the icing sugar and vanilla extract and mix well.
In a separate large bowl whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks. Add the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined. Fold in the chopped Oreos.
Remove the springform pan from the refrigerator, add the cheesecake filling onto the Oreo base, and spread it around into one even layer.
For the topping, add the chopped Oreos on top and press them in. Transfer back to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. Sprinkle the Oreo crumbs before serving.
